Steam ascends from the sewer tunnels underneath the ground in a back alley, where we were brought to by a stranger whose name I can't remember.
Told us we wouldn't regret it.
A sign above our heads leads downstairs.
Into darkness.
Pieces of broken glass gride underneath the soles of black boots,
while the stranger talks to a bouncer who's standing guard in front of a huge metal door.
It looks like the gate to a butchery.
Smells like a butchery.
And the bouncer is the butcher.
He looks at us, examines us.
Then he gets back to business with the nameless one.
Muffled sounds from behind that door, gathering with
squeals & dull strokes.
Probably wasn't a good idea to come here in the first place.
Finally. The bouncer moves towards the door.
As he opens the door, a wall of sound, noise & dirt combined with the smell of alcohol, sweat & parfume rolls over us and the power of low frequencies acts like a catalyst to the beat of our hearts.
Adjusting to the mix of adrenaline & deep rolling kick drums.
To drown the noise, the stranger screams:
'Welcome, my friends... to the Blood Rave!'
